  • If you see problems but never solutions
  • If you blame others for what went wrong in your career
  • If you make a habit of lying or trying to cover up things
  • If you think you’re smarter and therefore better than everyone else
  • If you think you have nothing special to offer your new employer
  • If you think you have waaay too much to offer your employer
  • If you think people who don’t agree with you are stupid
  • If you think people in admin and/or service jobs are losers
  • If you like to see others suffer or fall flat on their faces
  • If you refuse to go out of your way to help others
  • If you think the job is beneath you
  • If you whine whine whine
  • If you automatically disagree with everyone
  • If you’re always trying to prove how smart you are
  • If you think you’ve never been given a chance to really shine (we make those for ourselves)
  • If you think it’s just bad luck that you always wind up in boring jobs with unbelievably unremarkable people
  • If you think employers are supposed to recognize all your gifts without you making the effort to show them
  • If you always blame the employer for never recognizing how amazing you are (it does happen…just not “always”)
  • If “yourself” is so self-centered people don’t enjoy working with you
  • If you think you know it all already and are just waiting for the world to get it
  • If you think your pain is valid but the discomfort or pain of others isn’t

  • If you think that last one was bogus and therefore the entire list sucks
  • If you’re thinking…but wait we’re at 27 ways now and she’s still going!
  • If you’re thinking why doesn’t she follow the rules!!!
